Fujikawa

Fujikawa

After the second world war many of the traditional Japanese swordsmithing families were forced to find more peaceful outlets for their talents. Fujikawa chose woodworking mortice chisels and quickly developed a reputation for making unpretentious tools of exceptional quality that would outperform all others hands down.

By the 1960's they had begun to expand into other species of chisel, using their traditional skills and knowledge to make a carefully selected grade of white paper No.1 steel match or outperform blue steel whilst maintaining its superior fracture resistance.

These tools are a benchmark of quality, once you have used a Fujikawa chisel, nothing else will ever be quite the same again.
