Kobayashi exploit the increased strength that comes from the forging process to produce very light, very sharp snips, lightly sprung with a forged textured grip and fine points suitable for continuous fine work.
Ubiquitous throughout Japan for bonsai, harvesting fruit and herbs, floristry and flower arranging, Kobayashi's Koshiji brand Tohuko-style bud shears have evolved into the perfect tool for snipping soft stems.
Kobayashi Seikyo was founded in 1939 as a manufacturer of medical instruments in Tokyo. Displaced by WW2 the founder reopened from a blacksmith shop in Sanjo, in response to local demand he started making professional scissors for farmers and never looked back.
