Floats were originally used by planemakers and gunsmiths for fine tuning very accurate flat internal surfaces and slots.
The IW-100CPSDEF is 100mm long float with extra fine, chemically polished teeth on the face and safe edges.
Because the teeth run right up to the edge, you can get right into the corner of a groove or slot without any risk of widening it.
Usually used in conjunction with the IW-100CPEDEF which has a toothed edge and safe faces for widening slots without deepening them.
