Ray Iles Plane Irons

Woodworkers often seek replacement plane irons to upgrade or replace worn-out blades, restoring their hand planes to optimal cutting performance. These replacement irons come in various sizes and shapes to accommodate different plane models and are essential tools for achieving precise and smooth wood surfaces.

Ray Iles was one of the last people to learn the trade of toolmaking from the little mesters of Sheffield. He now makes, among other things, replacement plane irons to fit various types of hand planes.

Unless otherwise specified, the irons are made from O1 carbon steel and heat treated to RC60-61.
