These Japanese Nigiri Scissors are hand forged from laminated white paper steel with an oxidised forge finish, giving them a warmer, more rustic character than a polished blade. Held pinched between forefinger and thumb rather than through finger loops, they offer the kind of tactile control a pivot scissor cannot match.
The 52mm blade gives a longer cutting edge for tasks that benefit from a bit more reach in each stroke: cutting longer lengths of string, twine or garden ties in fewer strokes and everyday desk or workshop use where a slightly longer blade suits general purpose cutting
