Diamond Sharpening

Japanese made Atoma diamond sharpening plates are hugely popular for knife sharpening, they are also an excellent choice for sharpening woodworking tools. Fast cutting, slow wearing and very flat they really are fantastic value.

The high quality monocrystalline diamonds on Atoma diamond plates are evenly distributed in neat densely packed clusters; this keeps them cutting freely and produces a very uniform scratch pattern which takes less time to polish through with the next grade.

Atoma diamond plates are ideal for freehand sharpening and their durability makes them a great choice for situations where you need to take the tools to the work. Used with light pressure and plenty of fluid, diamond stones are clean, don’t get dished, and will sharpen anything hard, including carbide.
