Mujingfang

Mujingfang

In 1982 a group of individual craft toolmakers from Hong Kong teamed up to produce wooden planes and tools to an agreed set of designs under the Mujingfang brand. In the 30 years since, Mujingfang has grown to be one of the most highly respected hand tool brands, both in south east Asia and worldwide. The craftsmen sit astride low wooden benches, similar to a shave horse but without the clamp. There is only one machine in the factory - a morticer for cutting the mouths, everything else is done entirely with hand tools.
