The Shinwa spring joint inside calipers are manufactured from high quality carbon steel with ground finished points. A circular spring bow joins the legs for a uniform tension over the working range. The distance between the two points is controlled using the fine adjusting screw mounted across the legs, offering a finer setting than firm joint type calipers.
