Highly portable and extremely versatile, the Chernigov IX is the classic light forest axe. Primarily designed for limbing but also capable of light felling, it's also handy for splitting firewood, pointing stakes, chopping notches, anything you are likely to come across in a bushcraft context.
The poll is reinforced so it can be used for driving wooden wedges to split bigger stuff as well as knocking in pegs etc.
Ground to a classic willow leaf profile and delivered razor sharp, the head is hand forged and ground from 65G steel and hardened to RC58-60.
An excellent choice for camping, hiking and other outdoor activities.
