Belgian Coticule Whetstones
Natural Belgian coticule (Vielsalm coticule) stones are cherished for their ability to create a high polish and a silky smooth edge on steel.
The handmade irregular coticule bench stones and slipstones featured here are all individually photographed and priced, so the sharpening stone you see is the exact one that you are buying. The sharpening stones have all been paired with a rubbing stone to raise a creamy paste on the surface.
Coticule whetstones, Pierre des Pyrénées and Belgian blues are all lubricated with plain water, no soaking necessary, just splash and go.
