Drywall Sanding Screen is made with a sharp silicon carbide mineral for long-lasting performance with an open mesh cloth backing which reduces loading.
This coarse abrasive is excellent for shaping timber either by hand or on the lathe, it is also a popular choice for flattening coarse waterstones.
Waterproof and can be rinsed for reuse.

Flattening waterstones
Just the job, and much cheaper than a diamond plate! You do need a flat surface for it - I had an old floor tile which was easily good enough for what I need.
