Planes

Hand planes are incredibly precise tools, they can hollow a surface to within microns of perfectly flat, dimension components with similar degree of accuracy and leave a clean, smooth surface.

Jack planes No.5 and 5-1/2 are used for correcting cupped or twisted boards. The longer try, fore and jointer planes No.6, 7 and 8 are designed to flatten surfaces very accurately. Smoothing planes No.3, 4 and 4-1/2 have shorter soles so that they follow the surface more and pick up any low spots.

All of the planes we sell are manufactured to British Standard or better and warranted for the rest of your life.
