An ambidextrous spear point marking knife made from the same wonderful T10 water hardened carbon steel used in Quangsheng plane irons.
The potential weakness of this design is the tip of the blade, although the bevels are ground at 35 degrees the combined effect at the tip makes an angle of 20.
T10 is one of the best performing steels for very acute grinding angles, nonetheless I would still recommend honing a small 5 degree secondary bevel before use.
The handle is turned from walnut that matches the marking gauge.
